The FISH movement originated in England in 1961. The local Montgomery County chapter was founded in 1969. FISH of Montgomery County is pledged to meet those emergency needs of the peoople of Montgomery County that are not being met by other organizations and agencies.

FISH depends on support from the churches of Montgomery County. General meetings are held the third Thursday of September, October, January, March, April, and May. (April is the Annual Meeting with yearly reports; May begins new leader installation.) All churches are encouraged to send a representative to the meetings.
